DGP Dr. Naresh Kumar Arora holds a big event on drug abuse in Mahilpur, makes a clear appeal to people to stay away from drugs

Hoshiarpur- As part of the war on drugs campaign being run by the Punjab government, today ADGP (Human Rights) Dr. Naresh Kumar Arora addressed a large gathering of people during a grand event organized at a private palace in Mahilpur.

On this occasion, he expressed concern over the increasing prevalence of drugs and said that it is eroding the roots of society and youth. Dr. Arora inspired people to take a lifelong pledge to stay away from drugs and play their role in making their families, villages and cities drug-free.
He made it clear that drug abuse is not just a personal issue, but a social disease, which requires the role of every citizen to fight. He appealed to the people that if they have information about any smuggler or drug peddler, they should immediately inform the police. He assured that the identity of the informer will be kept confidential and their security will be the responsibility of the government.
Dr. Arora said that the Punjab Police has formed an anti-drug task force in every district, which is taking strict action against the drug mafia.
During the event, many local social service organizations and educational institutions also took the oath of drug freedom, playing their role.
On this occasion, people from Mahilpur and nearby villages listened to Dr. Arora's words seriously and resolved to contribute to the creation of a drug-free society.
