Gandhinagar, May 27 - Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that the terrorism being carried out by Pakistan is not a hidden war, but a planned war strategy and India will respond accordingly. Speaking about Operation Sindoor during the Gujarat government's urban development programme, Mr. Modi said that Pakistan is fighting a war through terrorism.
The Prime Minister said, "We cannot call it a hidden war because on the night of May 6 (in the attack on terror camps in Pakistan by India) the terrorists killed were given state honours in Pakistan. Their coffins were draped in Pakistani flags and their army also saluted them. He said, "This proves that these terrorist activities are not just a hidden war but a part of their planned war strategy. If they take the path of war, we will respond accordingly.’’
The Prime Minister said that whenever there was a war between India and Pakistan, the Indian armed forces defeated Pakistan in a way that the neighbouring country will never forget. He said, “They may have realised that they can never win a direct war against India, which is why they turned to covert warfare and provided military training and support to terrorists.”
“No matter how strong or healthy the body is, a thorn can cause pain. We have decided to remove this thorn,” Modi said. He said, “During partition, Mother India was divided into two parts, and that same night, the first terrorist attack was carried out by the Mujahideen on Kashmir.”
He said that Pakistan captured a part of Mother India with the help of terrorists in the name of Mujahideen. "If these Mujahideen had been killed that day and Sardar Patel's advice had been followed, we would not have seen this series (of terror attacks) that has been going on for the last 75 years," he said.
