Hoshiarpur- The Punjab government has launched a war against drugs campaign in Punjab under which, on the directions of DGP Gaurav Yadav and others, a special search operation was conducted in Mahilpur town of Hoshiarpur district under the leadership of DSP Jagir Singh and DSP Garhshankar Jaspreet Singh and Police Station In-charge Parvinder Pal Jeet Singh. In which different police parties checked BDPO Colony, Langeri Road and other places in the town.

The police officers leading this operation team jointly said that 25 suspects were arrested during this checking and they were released after interrogation. On this occasion, 2 motorcycles of drug smugglers were seized. On this occasion, the officials said that the government is very strict against drugs and if any person is caught in the drug business. Then strict legal action will be taken against him and if in the legal investigation it is found that any of his property has been acquired by selling drugs, then that too will be confiscated.
He appealed to the people to definitely inform the police about the drug smugglers. While their identity will be kept secret. At the same time, their contribution in the government's war against drugs will also be important. He said that to make Punjab drug free, it is the duty of the police as well as every section of the society to cooperate with the police in this campaign.
