
People's movement to make a drug-free Punjab has strengthened: MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, May 22, 2025- Derabassi MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa has said that the people's movement to make a drug-free Punjab has strengthened. He said that people are enthusiastically joining the Nasha Mukti Yatra being taken out under the war against drugs campaign launched by the government of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann. He was attending the gram sabhas held in connection with the drug-free Yatra in villages Bhagwanpur, Rampur Sainian and Pandawala of Derabassi constituency today.

He was attending the gram sabhas held in connection with the drug-free Yatra in villages Bhagwanpur, Rampur Sainian and Pandawala of Derabassi constituency today.
On this occasion, MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa said that when the entire society takes the pledge, then no social evil can remain in the society. He said that if someone in your village sells drugs, then information about him should be given on WhatsApp number 9779100200, the identity of the informer will be kept confidential. Similarly, if someone is suffering from drugs, then he should be treated. He said that when we all work together, success is sure to be achieved.
On this occasion, he said that to stop drugs, while it is necessary to take action against drug traffickers, it is also necessary that there is a balanced socio-economic development of the society. Therefore, the state government is implementing development works on priority level along with improvements in education and health sectors in the state and is providing the most important canal water to the tails for farmers. He said that when people get involved in their work and their progress is made, they will also stay away from problems like drugs. On this occasion, he also took an oath to the people of the villages to join this campaign against drugs.
