'War Against Drugs' Awareness Rally taken out in villages Dharamgarh and Basoli under the leadership of MLA Randhawa

Lalru (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar), May 21, 2025- Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has launched the 'War Against Drugs' anti-drug campaign, under this campaign, an awareness yatra was taken out in villages Dharamgarh and Basoli under the leadership of MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa in the presence of Panches and Sarpanches.

Lalru (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar), May 21, 2025- Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has launched the 'War Against Drugs' anti-drug campaign, under this campaign, an awareness yatra was taken out in villages Dharamgarh and Basoli under the leadership of MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa in the presence of Panches and Sarpanches. 
The aim of this yatra is to take steps towards making every village and ward of the district drug-free. Meanwhile, MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa emphasized the government's commitment to eradicate drugs from the state.
 He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the government has taken several measures to deal with the problem of drugs, including the launch of a helpline number 9779100200 to provide information on drugs, on which any person can provide information related to drug trafficking. His name will be kept confidential. The helpline numbers have been prominently displayed through posters in the villages and will be expanded to other areas as well.
MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa also appealed to the Panches and Sarpanches to participate in this campaign and spread awareness about the ill effects of drugs in their respective villages. He stressed the importance of community participation in creating a drug-free society and encouraged everyone to come together and support the government's efforts so that this scourge of drugs can be uprooted. 
The 'War on Drugs' campaign is an important step towards making a healthy and safe Punjab. MLA Randhawa said that the campaign against drugs is a big step towards securing the future of the youth, the concrete steps taken by the government to eradicate drugs have received great support from across the state. Many youth affected by this campaign have turned to drug de-addiction centers and are being provided free treatment and rehabilitation facilities.
MLA Randhawa appealed to the panchayats to make their villages drug free by ensuring that resolutions are passed against drug traffickers, and also to encourage the villagers to refrain from getting bail for such elements.
On this occasion, the coordinator of this campaign, Sumit Rana, SDM Derabassi, SMO Derabassi and DSP Sub-Division Derabassi, along with party leaders were present.
