Nawanshahr- Shri Vipin Bhandari, SDM Banga ji handed over the identity card to Shri Jagannath and his wife Mrs. Kamaljit Kaur, residents of Kajla Road Banga, who had pledged to donate their bodies after death. Both of them have filled this form inspired by Sukhwinder Singh Goga ji, Finance Secretary of Nawanshahr unit of Tarksheel Society Punjab.
On this occasion, SDM Vipin Bhandari said that instead of cremating the body after death, if it is donated to the medical college, it will prove very beneficial for the students studying medicine. Donating the body after death is a great and noble deed.
It is important to mention here that Sukhwinder Singh Goga of Tarksheel Society Punjab has himself filled the body donation form and taking inspiration from him, his wife Ruby Banga, his maternal uncle Yamuna Das, maternal aunt Bachno Devi, now his brother Jagannath and sister-in-law Kamaljit Kaur have also filled the body donation form.
On this occasion, Ratan Kumar, General Secretary of Doaba Seva Samiti said that those who wish to donate their bodies after death as per their wish, their forms are filled and sent to PIMS Medical College and Hospital Jalandhar or Government Medical College Amritsar! Their identity cards are made from there.
He said that today identity cards have been given to 138-139th body donors. He thanked those who have contributed to social service by donating their bodies. On this occasion, Mr. Jagannath and Kamaljit Kaur ji, who donated their bodies, said that their wish is that after their death, some student should learn from their mortal bodies and become a doctor and save people's lives. That is why they have filled this form.
