Una, May 13- Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service officer Manoj Kumar took over as Joint Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Una on Tuesday. Manoj Kumar is a 2020 batch HAS officer. Originally hailing from Jogindernagar area of ??Mandi district, Mr. Kumar was earlier serving as SDM in Udaipur. Apart from this, he has served in different posts in various districts of the state including Jwalaji, Shimla, Kullu. He has also worked as Project Officer (ITDP) in Keylong.
After taking charge, he shared his priorities to ensure the overall development of the city. He said that strengthening the sanitation system in the municipal corporation area, effectively resolving sewerage related problems and implementing urban beautification on priority basis would be his top priorities. Along with this, he talked about emphasizing on a concrete action plan for permanent solution to problems like waterlogging during the rainy season.
Expressing expectation of cooperation from the officers and employees of the corporation, he said that everyone would work together in public interest to develop Municipal Corporation Una as an ideal urban unit.
