Hoshiarpur- A strong protest march was taken out today from Labor Shed to BJP office Hoshiarpur against the decision of BBMB to forcefully release 8500 cusecs of additional water to Haryana at the behest of the BJP government at the center. On this occasion, Jimpa said that Punjab has only its share of water, which is being forcibly taken away. He demanded that the force and oppression being done by the BJP with Punjab should be stopped immediately.
AAP party workers and leaders present in large numbers protested by raising strong slogans against the Central Government, Haryana Government, BJP and BBMB. MLA Jimpa said that Haryana has already taken more water than its share and now is doing injustice to Punjab by forcibly taking 8500 cusecs of water, which the Punjab government will never tolerate.
He alleged that the BJP's central government is hatching a deep conspiracy against Punjab and Punjabis in connivance with the governments of Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan. A befitting reply will be given to this. Punjab's farmers and industries will be ruined without water, so under no circumstances will anyone be allowed to rob their rightful share of water.
The MLA alleged that this is a well-planned conspiracy under which the BJP government at the Centre, the Haryana government and the BBMB together want to snatch Punjab's water, but the Aam Aadmi Party and Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann's government will never let it succeed.
Finally, he clearly said that Punjab's water is our trust and it will not be shared with anyone. The state government stands firmly to protect the rights of Punjab and will never let the BJP's coercion succeed.
