Congress General Secretary Zahid Parvez Khan attended the event as the chief guest. In his powerful address, he said, "Terrorism has to be fought not just with words but with concrete steps. We have to strengthen our unity and brotherhood even more, so that terrorism can be defeated at every level."
In this candle march, the mosque committee of Dhanas as well as people from Hindu and Muslim community came together, and the message of unity given was unprecedented. Everyone's voice was one - now there should be strict action against terrorism, not just condemnation. Pakistan will have to answer for its actions and terrorism will have to be rooted out.
This candle march proved that we all stand together against terrorism, giving the message of peace and unity. This event was not only a symbol of our unity, but also the beginning of a new resolution – we will not tolerate terrorism, nor will we let Pakistan play with our peace and security.
