Hoshiarpur- A grand program was organized to commemorate Earth Day at Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary Model School Shimla Pahari Hoshiarpur under the chairmanship of Professor Najam Riar, senior member of Vidya Mandir Sansthan and famous author. On this occasion, Manveen Singh, founder of Beyond I Trust Foundation, participated as the chief guest and told the students and audience about the importance of Earth Day.
He said that in recent years, due to the huge upheaval in the earth's atmosphere, increasing global warming and all kinds of pollution, the whole world is moving towards destruction.
This situation can be avoided only when we all become aware of the laws of nature and change our lifestyle so that the environment can be saved from pollution. He said that we should not use plastic, but should use such material which is biodegradable and leaves minimum carbon footprint on Mother Earth and does not cause much harm.
He gave us a serious warning by pointing out the falling water level of the earth and the scarcity of drinking water. The chairperson of the program, Professor Najm Riyadh, said on this occasion that we can avoid this crisis only when we follow the rules of nature and adopt a simple lifestyle like our elders and move forward towards serving humanity.
