SAS Nagar, April 22 - A large number of trees in different areas of the city have been affected by blossom cucumbers. These blossom cucumbers are quite heavy and their weight ranges from one kilogram to six to seven kilograms.
These heavy blossom cucumbers often break off from the tree and fall down, and accidents also occur due to this. Yesterday, a heavy blossom cucumber fell on the head of a person standing under a tree, although he escaped any injury.
These blossom cucumbers sometimes fall on vehicles, due to which the windows of the vehicles get damaged. The city residents say that it is often said about Mohali that it has been developed on the lines of Chandigarh, but it is not known who advised the administration to plant blossom cucumber trees everywhere in the city while developing Mohali. Some people claim that the blossoming cucumbers are useful in making indigenous medicine.
The city residents have demanded that the blossoming cucumbers growing on trees in various places in the city be removed.
