Nawanshahr: The district police have arrested an accused who was declared an absconder by the court. Providing information, the chief officer of Nawanshahr City Police Station, Inspector Avtar Singh, stated that under his leadership, a team led by ASI Surinder Kumar arrested the absconding accused, Jaswant Singh Bharta, son of Dilbag Singh, resident of Kalaj Colony, Rahon Road, Nawanshahr, who had been evading arrest for a long time in a case. 
He informed that the accused, Jaswant Singh Bharta, who was declared an absconder on May 31, 2022, by the court of Shri Jagvir Singh Mahindratta in a fraud case, was apprehended on April 15, 2025, and presented before the honorable court on April 16, 2025. 
As per the orders of the honorable court, the accused has been sent to judicial custody until April 24, 2025. He further stated that the said accused has also been declared an absconder in two other fraud cases.
