SAS Nagar/Lalru, April 16- MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa has taken an important step towards improving the education system in government schools of Dharamgarh, Ramgarh Roorkee and Jastana Kalan by initiating various development works in government schools under the Punjab Government Shiksha Kranti Abhiyan. This campaign being run on the orders of the Punjab Government aims to bring revolution in the education sector by providing better infrastructure and facilities to the students.
Under this campaign, MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa inaugurated the works done at a cost of about Rs 25 lakh in Government Primary School and Shaheed Sepoy Gurpreet Singh Government High School in Dharamgarh and works done at a cost of Rs 4.43 lakh in Government School of village Jastana Kalan and Rs 8.67 lakh in Ramgarh Roorkee. These works include construction of new classrooms, renovation of existing classrooms and establishment of modern facilities like computer laboratories and libraries.
Speaking about this campaign, MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa said, “Education is the key to a bright future and it is our responsibility to provide the best education to our children. Punjab Government’s Shiksha Kranti Abhiyan is a step towards achieving this goal and I am proud to be a part of it. They have allocated a grant of Rs 5 lakh for the best performing school, which will motivate schools to strive for excellence.” Shiksha Kranti Abhiyan has received widespread support and appreciation from the residents of Dharamgarh.
This initiative is expected to bring positive changes in the education system and provide a better learning environment for the students.
