Ahmedabad, April 14 - Gujarat's Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) have seized 300 kg of drugs worth Rs 1800 crore in the Arabian Sea, which were dumped by drug smugglers before fleeing. Officials gave this information on Monday.

The Coast Guard said in a statement that the seized banned substance is suspected to be 'methamphetamine' and has been handed over to the ATS for further investigation. The ATS and the Coast Guard conducted a joint operation near the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) along the Gujarat coast on the intervening night of April 12 and 13.
The statement said that on seeing the Coast Guard ship approaching, the smugglers threw the drugs into the sea and fled towards IMBL. According to the statement, more than 300 kg of drugs worth Rs 1800 crore have been seized.
