Una, April 11- Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister Prof. Chandra Kumar will be the chief guest in the district level Himachal Day celebrations in Una. He will hoist the national flag in the function organized in the premises of Government Senior Secondary School Una on April 15. A wonderful confluence of parade, tableaux and cultural programs will be seen in this function.
Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal said that on April 15, the Agriculture Minister will hoist the national flag in the school premises at 11 am after paying tribute at the Shaheed Memorial located in MC Park. After this, he will inspect the parade and take the salute of the march past and give a message to the people of the district. Along with the contingents of Police and Home Guard, NCC and NSS children of various educational institutions will also participate in the parade. Apart from this, representatives of drama troupes, social organizations and Anganwadi centers along with the children of educational institutions will present cultural programs.
Jatin Lal said that tableaux based on social messages and development schemes will also be taken out in the function. These will include tableaux related to Mukhyamantri Sukh Ashray Yojana, Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana, Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar Student Loan Yojana, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao Abhiyan, Catch the Rain, and agriculture-horticulture, Red Cross and District Disaster Authority.
The Deputy Commissioner said that self-help stalls will also be set up at the venue. This effort of the administration is dedicated to encouraging self-help groups, promoting their products and empowering women.
