Muslim community will hold a protest dharna outside DC office tomorrow against Waqf Amendment Bill.

SAS Nagar, April 10- A district level meeting of Muslim community was held after Asr Namaaz at Kumbhra village, Sector 68, Mohali district, in which a discussion was held on protesting against the new Waqf Amendment Bill implemented by the Central Government. Various district officials, management committees of mosques, Eidgahs, Dargahs and representatives of various political parties attended the meeting.

SAS Nagar, April 10- A district level meeting of Muslim community was held after Asr Namaaz at Kumbhra village, Sector 68, Mohali district, in which a discussion was held on protesting against the new Waqf Amendment Bill implemented by the Central Government. Various district officials, management committees of mosques, Eidgahs, Dargahs and representatives of various political parties attended the meeting.
A 5 member committee was formed in the meeting, in which Dr. Anwar Hussain Seneta was given the responsibility. Along with this, Sadagar Khan Matour, Swarti Khan Bhagomajra, Abdullah Khan Kumbhara, Sheikh Wasim Seneta, Khalil Khan Sukhgarh were assigned various responsibilities and it was jointly decided that on April 11, after Jumme ki Namaz, at 2:00 pm, copies of the Waqf Amendment Bill will be burnt in front of the office of Deputy Commissioner SAS Nagar and an appeal will be made to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to refuse to implement this bill in Punjab, as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand Government and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee have clearly refused.
Dr. Anwar Hussain said that it was decided in the meeting that a memorandum will be given to the President of the country through Deputy Commissioner SAS Nagar to cancel the new Waqf Amendment Bill. He said that all political parties, religious organizations and non-religious organizations which oppose humanistic ideas and due to which mutual brotherhood is maintained, are opposing it. He said that Government of India should not make the mistake of considering us weak and if this decision is forcibly imposed on us, then the Central Government must be prepared for its consequences.

Hameed Ali former President Muslim Committee Seneta, Muhammad Gaffar President Muslim Committee Raipur and Bhagomajra, Baba Muhammad Salim Seneta, Advocate Haji Muhammad Salim Sector 66 Mohali, Secretary Nakeer Muhammad Sialba, Sabrati Khan Bhagomajra, Muhammad Aslam Bhabat Derabassi, Sadagar Khan Matour, Manjeet Khan Matour, Sheikh Muhammad Wasim Seneta, Muhammad Tanveer Seneta, Akbar Ali Sisman as well as specially invited representatives from 30 to 35 committees from across the district participated.
