Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, April 10: District Police Mohali has succeeded in solving the robbery case committed by 02 unknown robbers at jewellery shop GK Jewellers Phase-10 Mohali in June last year and arrested 02 robbers and recovered illegal weapon .32 bore pistol with 05 rounds from them.
SSP Deepak Pareek while giving the above information said that under the supervision of Saurav Jindal, Superintendent of Police (Investigation) and under the leadership of Talwinder Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Investigation) and in-charge Harminder Singh, under the continuous efforts being made by the team of CIA Staff Mohali Kharar for the arrest of the accused of the above incident, success was achieved in arresting the accused Aamir Khan alias Ali son Islam Ali resident near Masjid village Chhachhrauli district Yamuna Nagar, Haryana resident house number 3037B, LIG ??Colony, Sector-52, Chandigarh (27 years) and Sagar son Prem Chand resident village Sialba Majri, police station Majri district Mohali resident house number 1310, near Balmik temple village Burail, Sector-45, Chandigarh (22 years). He told that on 27-06-2024, based on the statement of Kunal Singh Rangi son of Nahar Singh Rangi resident of House No. 05, Aerocity, Block-A, Sector-66A, Mohali, FIR No. 86 dated 27-06-2024 was registered against 02 unknown persons under Section 392, 34 IPC and 25-54-59 Arms Act at Police Station Phase-11 Mohali that he has a goldsmith shop in the name of G.K. Jewelers in Booth Market, Phase-10 Mohali. On 27-06-2024, he had gone to the market for his personal work and his mother Geetanjali was alone in the shop, then it must have been around 03:40 pm that two youths suddenly entered the shop. They had a crown on their head and both were wearing caps, in which one person was wearing a mask and the other person had a beard which looked fake. Who took out a pistol from his trunk and showed it to his mother.
On which his mother sat down in fear, then one of these people looted the gold ornaments kept in the glass and fled leaving his Active No. PB65-AB-8544 on the spot.
He told that a pistol .32 bore desi along with 05 live cartridges, 03 chains and 02 artificial/fake gold, the first T-shirt of accused Sagar (on which Gangster is written) were recovered from these robbers.
He further told that during interrogation the accused told that both the accused run a salon named Scissor Man in Phase-11 Mohali. Accused Aamir Khan alias Ali used to come and go to the market of Phase-10 Mohali. Who had seen many times that a woman is sitting alone in the jeweler's shop.
On which he had planned to rob the jeweler's shop with his partner Sagar. To carry out the crime, the accused first stole an Activa number PB65-AB-8544 and accused Aamir Khan himself went to U.P. to buy illegal weapons and cartridges. While carrying out the crime, the accused went on the stolen Activa armed with illegal weapons and were wearing duplicate beards and masks.
On interrogation, the accused confessed that they had looted about 350 grams of jewellery from the shop. They themselves had examined the jewellery, which they found to be artificial. Due to which they threw the looted jewellery in the nearby Phase-9 dirty drain a few days after the robbery.
Some jewellery and the black T-shirt worn by accused Sagar at the time of the crime, on which Gangster was written, were hidden by accused Sagar in his mother's rented room number 6, Mandar Nagar, Kharar. The jewellery and T-shirt have been recovered.
