SAS Nagar, Apr 8: Senior Advocate Shri Daljit Singh Basi passed away today. He was 78 years old and was ailing for some time. He was discharged from the hospital yesterday evening and brought to his residence in Phase 4, where he breathed his last this morning.
The last rites of Shri Daljit Singh Basi were performed today at his native village Ballomajra. Leaders of various political parties, social activists and representatives of religious organisations, dignitaries, members of the Bar Association, villagers, close relatives and family members were present on the occasion to pay their last respects. His sons Advocate Pritpal Singh Basi and Advocate Princepreet Jeet Singh Basi lit the funeral pyre.
On this occasion, Bar Association Mohali President Snehpreet Singh, former President Amarjit Singh Longia, BJP leader Lakhwinder Kaur Garcha, music producer Sachin Ahuja, Darshan Singh Dhaliwal, Jaspal Singh Dapper, Inspector Lakhwinder Singh, Lalit Sood, Barinder Saluja, Kharar Bar Association President Deepak Sharma, Tara Chand Gupta, Natrajan Kaul, B.K. Vats, former President Manpreet Chahal, Iqbal Singh, Sher Singh Rathore, Kulbir Singh, Malkit Singh, Anutej Singh Barnala, Tarun Chugh, Raghav Goyal, Jassi Balolmajra, Pradeep Singh Baidwan were present.
