
3.59 crores are being spent on the development of 23 villages under PM Adarsh ??Gram Yojana - ADC
Una, 3 December: An amount of Rs 3 crore 59 lakh 20 thousand has been released for 23 villages selected in Una district under Pradhan Mantri Adarsh ??Gram Yojana (PMAGY). Out of this, an amount of Rs 2 crore 16 lakh 87 has been spent on various development works so far. This information was given by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Mahendra Pal Gurjar while presiding over a review meeting organized under PMAGY on Tuesday.
Una, 3 December: An amount of Rs 3 crore 59 lakh 20 thousand has been released for 23 villages selected in Una district under Pradhan Mantri Adarsh ??Gram Yojana (PMAGY). Out of this, an amount of Rs 2 crore 16 lakh 87 has been spent on various development works so far. This information was given by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Mahendra Pal Gurjar while presiding over a review meeting organized under PMAGY on Tuesday.
The ADC said that under this scheme, fully equipped libraries should be established in the selected villages where apart from the latest science and knowledge books, children should also have access to books necessary for competitive examinations. He directed that under the scheme, small works like solar lights, road construction, water coolers, smart class rooms, ponds should be identified so that no obstacle or dispute arises in completing them.
He said that the development work being done under this scheme in most of the panchayats is satisfactory, whereas the development work of some panchayats has not been started due to disputes. Therefore, new works should be included in their place so that the goals of the scheme can be achieved on time. He instructed the officials to ensure that the details of the works completed under the scheme along with photographs are immediately uploaded on the PMAGY portal. In those Panchayats where the survey work has not been completed, coordinate with the Gram Panchayat Pradhan and Panchayat Secretary and complete it within 15 days and report to the Tehsil Welfare Officer. Apart from this, in those Panchayats where the amount of the first installment has been spent but the work has not been completed, the Panchayat Secretary should complete the related formalities and report to the District and Tehsil offices, so that the second installment can be released.

The 23 villages under PM Adarsh ??Gram Yojana in Una district include Gagret Upper, Godri Siddh, Basoli Upper, Kangroohi, Ladoli, Kailashnagar, Kungarath, Khadd Khas, Dulahad, Sasan, Chatehad Buhal, Dabali, Kharoh, Paroiyaan Kalan, Baol, Mohkhas, Tyar, Pansai, Sakohan, Chowki, Jol, Saloi and Badui.
13 additional villages included in the scheme
The ADC informed that under the PMAGY scheme, apart from 23, 13 additional villages have been selected in Una district, which include Bahdala, Bhadsali Tholian, Chalet Upper, Dangoh Khas, Dhamandri, Ghanghret, Gandpur Banehra Upper, Jakhera, Kuneran Lower, Kuriyala, Maida Khas, Pirthipur Lower and Saloh Upper. He informed that the preparation of village development plan has been completed in 9 of these villages while the survey of the remaining panchayats is to be done again.
