
Vajra Corps organises mega ex-servicemen rally at Hoshiarpur
Hoshiarpur- Vajra Corps of Indian Army today organised a mega ex-servicemen rally at Hoshiarpur, Punjab to reaffirm its commitment towards ex-servicemen under the theme ‘Veeron ka Samman, Desh ka Abhimaan’. More than 2,000 ex-servicemen and their families from Hoshiarpur and adjoining districts attended the event.

More than 2,000 ex-servicemen and their families from Hoshiarpur and adjoining districts attended the event.
Lieutenant General Ajay Chandpuria, AVSM, VSM, General Officer Commanding, Vajra Corps appreciated their sacrifices and assured them of unflinching support of the Army. Special medical camps, employment and legal aid counters and financial guidance from leading banks also helped the attendees. Ex-servicemen working in the agriculture sector were introduced to modern agricultural implements and techniques by subject experts.
The event included a grand pipe band display, traditional Khukri dance and a fiery Bhangra performance, which was a blend of military traditions of the Army and the rich heritage of Punjab. The grand display of weapons and military equipment showcased the technical expertise and operational readiness of the Indian Army, which inspired the local youth to join the armed forces. A dedicated Agniveer registration counter helped the interested candidates in their recruitment registration.
The Vajra Corps Ex-Serviceman Rally further strengthened the deep bond the Army shares with its ex-servicemen. Apart from guarding the country’s borders, the Army is also committed to those who once served with pride, and ensures that the sacrifice of each hero is honoured and never forgotten.
SSP Sandeep Kumar Malik, SP Navneet Kaur Gill, SDM Hoshiarpur Sanjeev Kumar, SDM Tanda Pankaj Kumar, Lt Gen (Retd) JS Dhillon, besides other officers from the Army, civil administration and police department were also present.
