Nawanshahr- Under the guidance of Director, Youth Services Department, Punjab and Assistant Director Youth Services Department, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Captain Mantej Singh Cheema, a Youth Clubs Training Workshop was organized at I. T. I Nawanshahr. During this, representatives from various departments like Health, Agriculture, Sports, Education, Banking, Employment Department etc. gave detailed information to the youth about the ongoing programs of the respective departments.
Assistant Director Youth Services Captain Mantej Singh, while formally inaugurating the training workshop, said that the information provided to the youth by the representatives from various departments during this training will bring meaningful results for their bright future. Tarsem Lal, Deputy Group Education and Information Officer from Civil Surgeon Office Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, gave detailed information to the youth about "Eyes gone, world gone, teeth gone, taste gone", "Blood donation while alive and eye donation after death" and "War against drugs", and also informed them about various health programs.
On this occasion, Tarsem Lal gave detailed health education under National Viral Hepatitis Control Program, Weekly Iron and Folic Acid Supplement Program, Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram, Emergency Response Service, 108 Toll Free Medical Helpline Number 104, Mobile Medical Unit, National Child Health Program, Free Treatment of Children under National Child Health Program, Free Treatment of Dengue, Chikungunya, Malaria, Corneal Blindness Free Punjab, Ayurveda, Free Vaccination, Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, National TB Control Program, Punjab State AIDS Control Society and other programs and NCD.
On this occasion, representatives from the Employment Office Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar gave detailed information about recruitment in various departments and explained about applying online for recruitment of posts. During the training session, Gurpreet Singh from the Sports Department motivated the youth to stay away from drugs and participate in sports as much as possible. The youth present on this occasion showed their enthusiasm and took full advantage of this training and the questions asked by the trainers were also answered.
