
Doaba Sahitya Sabha Garhshankar organized book presentation, honors and poet darbar.
Nawanshahr- Doaba Sahitya Sabha Reg. Garhshankar, which is active in literary activities in the Doaba region, organized its annual literary honor ceremony and poet darbar ceremony at the local Babbar Akali Memorial Khalsa College, Garhshankar under the leadership of the president of the Sabha, Principal Dr. Bikkar Singh.

Members of the literary societies active in the Doaba region, Punjab Sahitya Sabha Nawanshahr, Darpan Sahitya Sabha Saila Khurd and Punjabi Sahitya Sabha Mahilpur, poets and literature lovers from all over the area participated in this event. The event was inaugurated by the principal of the local college, Dr. Amandeep Kaur Hira, by lighting the lamp. The president of the society, Dr. Bikkar Singh, welcomed the guests and poets and informed about the activities of the society.
The presidium included Professor Sandhu Varyanvi, General Secretary, Central Punjabi Writers' Association (Sekhon), Principal Bikkar Singh, President, Doaba Sahitya Sabha, Registered, Garhshankar, Resham Chitrakar, President, Darpan Sahitya Sabha, Saila Khurd, Principal Gurjant Singh, Vice President, Central Punjabi Writers' Association (Sekhon) and Principal Amandeep Kaur (Dr). During the function, Gursikhi Di Eh Nisani, Part 27 and Part 28, composed by Sardar Santokh Singh Veer Ji, were unveiled. The Ghazal collection "Meri Sadhana" composed by Mr. Sarwan Sidhu Ji and the book "Gadar Lehar Aar Babbar Lehar Di Dastan" composed by Pawan Bhamian were also unveiled during this function. The Sardar Major Singh Mauji Memorial Award, which is given every year by the Sabha for its valuable contribution to Punjabi literature, was presented to the General Secretary of Central Punjabi Writers' Association (Sekhon) Prof. Sandhu Varyanvi, Principal Sujan Singh Memorial Award was presented to renowned fiction writer Prof. Balvir Kaur Riehl (Dr), Ustad Ulfat Bajwa Memorial Award was presented to Mr. Satpal Sahlon and special honors were presented to Tara Singh Cheda, a senior member of the local literary society.
During the function, Prof. J.B. Sekhon (Dr) Ji, a member of the society, was specially honored by the Department of Languages, Punjab, for receiving the Print Teja Singh Award. The stage of this poet's court was conducted by Santokh Singh Veer Ji and Pawan Kumar Bhamian. At the end of the program, Prof. Sandhu Varyanvi thanked the poets and audience present and said that the discrimination being done by the central government against regional languages ??should be stopped.
