The family is in BPL, has already received the benefit of the government's housing scheme
It is worth noting that as soon as the matter came to notice on Friday, the Deputy Commissioner had directed the BDO Una to get a report from the Gram Panchayat. The Gram Panchayat report stated that Smt. Saroj Kumari, a resident of Dhamandari village, and her son Naveen Kumar are suffering from mental health problems. There is no support in the family, as Saroj Kumari's husband Late Om Prakash has already passed away.
This family comes under the BPL category and has already received assistance under the government's housing scheme. Despite this, they do not have any permanent source of income, which has made living extremely difficult. In such a situation, the district administration has taken quick and effective steps to provide relief to this family so that they can live a better life.
