Hoshiarpur- Rotary Eye Bank and Cornea Transplant Society, under the chairmanship of President and prominent social worker Sanjeev Arora and Chairman J.B. Bahl, presented a special program on the subject of eye donation at the residence of Director Principal Dr. Rajiv Arora of Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences, Jalandhar.

Hoshiarpur- Rotary Eye Bank and Cornea Transplant Society, under the chairmanship of President and prominent social worker Sanjeev Arora and Chairman J.B. Bahl, presented a special program on the subject of eye donation at the residence of Director Principal Dr. Rajiv Arora of Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences, Jalandhar.
On this occasion, President Sanjeev Arora, while giving detailed information about the work being done in relation to Rotary Eye Bank, said that till now the society has implanted new eyes in more than 4100 people suffering from corneal blindness and 24 dead bodies have been sent to various medical colleges for research after death and 250 people have registered by filling an affidavit to donate their bodies after death.
On this occasion, Chairman Mr. J.B. Bahl told Director Principal Dr. Rajiv Arora that if you cooperate with the society to complete the eye donation process in Jalandhar, then the efforts being made by Rotary Eye Bank to eliminate blindness from the country can be completed soon. Mr. Bahl said that the society makes people aware about eye donation and body donation through seminars from time to time.
This has created a lot of awareness. But despite this, the number of people suffering from blindness in the country is still high. On this occasion, Dr. Rajiv Arora praised the work of the society and said that eye donation is a great donation which brightens someone's dark life. What can be a bigger donation than this?
Assuring all possible cooperation, he said that whatever is needed regarding eye donation in Jalandhar, his organization will fully support you in this noble work. Dr. Ambika Badhwa, Dr. Tania Moudgil were also present on this occasion and Madan Lal Mahajan, Ashwini Dutta from the society were also present.
