SAS Nagar, March 26- BJP District President Sanjeev Vashisht has said that the budget presented by the Punjab Government is completely hollow, and added that the treasury is empty while the government talks of building roads at par with foreign countries, the condition of roads remains poor.
Sanjeev Vashisht mentioned that the Mann Government announced the construction of Technology Extension Centre while this scheme is of the Central Government where land is leased from the State Governments and funds are invested by the Central Government, claiming that the Punjab Government has failed to implement the schemes properly and is taking false credit by calling the Central Government schemes as its own.
He mentioned that accidents are taking place due to potholes at many places due to non-repaired roads, big promises are being made despite lack of funds, Punjab's debt is continuously increasing and is now Rs 1 lakh crore in the last three years, without a concrete revenue augmentation plan, industries are struggling, unemployment is rising, despite this many new schemes have been announced but without a clear roadmap of funding them, claiming that the free schemes of the Mann government have further worsened the condition of the state, leaving Punjab in debt, while many departments are running in losses and they have no plan to recover from the losses.
