Nawanshahr/Banga- On March 2, 2025, the Punjabi Department of Sikh National College Banga organized a seminar on the topic "Challenges and Opportunities before the Punjabi Language" in collaboration with the Punjab unit of Punjabi Bhasha Prachar Society (Registered) Canada. In which eminent novelist of Punjabi literature Mitrasenmeet was present as the keynote speaker, while Sardar Kirpal Singh Garcha Canada, Sardar Nirmal Singh Canada, Sardar Jaswinder Singh California, Sardar Satnam Singh Vancouver also arrived specially.

College Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh Bhinder welcomed everyone. On this occasion, Sardar Kirpal Singh Garcha informed the students about the main objectives of the Punjabi Bhasha Prachar Society. The keynote speaker, novelist Mitrasen Meet ji, while addressing the students, gave a message of unity to face the challenges facing the Punjabi language.
He also informed that this is the tenth program under the series of Punjabi language programs in Banga area. Jaswinder Singh Garcha and Prof. Inderpal Singh also presented their views. The entire program was conducted smoothly by the Head of the Department Dr. Nirmaljit Kaur.
On this occasion, the talented students of the college (Gurpreet Singh, Sukhmanvir Singh, Inderpreet Kaur, Prabhsimran Singh, Sanjana, Harman, Simran, Praveen Ral, Manjinder Kaur and Yuvraj Singh) who excelled in various fields for Punjabi mother tongue were also specially honored by the Punjabi Bhasha Prachar Biradari.
On this occasion, Nirmal Kaur Garcha, Harbans Singh Akhara, Sukhwinderpal Singh, Major Singh Chhina, Shinderpal Singh were also specially present. The guests were honored by giving flowers and plants. Senior professor of the college Dr. Indurati expressed her gratitude to everyone.
