Hoshiarpur- Accepting the demand of MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar from Chabbewal constituency in the Punjab Assembly to increase the routes of Punjab Roadways buses in the constituency, Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar assured that bus routes will be started for the villages of the constituency as per the need.
MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar brought to the notice of the Transport Minister in the Assembly that during the Covid lockdown, many government bus routes were closed in Chabbewal constituency, which should be reviewed and these routes should be started as soon as possible. He said that with the start of new routes of government buses, the movement of residents of villages, especially students, will become even easier, for which starting these routes is the main need of the hour.
On raising this issue by the MLA, Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar said that the villages of Chabbewal constituency are also being covered during the route from Adampur to Chandigarh. He said that the buses coming from Ludhiana to Hoshiarpur are also providing transport facility to the people of Mahilpur-Chabbewal via Nawanshahr-Garhshankar.
The Transport Minister said that as per the demand of MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar, all the routes will be started and restored after reviewing them soon. He said that the government buses running from Ludhiana to Shahtalai enter Himachal Pradesh via Nawanshahr-Garhshankar-Mahilpur and enter the villages of Chabbewal constituency via Jejon.
He said that from Phagwara this route reaches Mahilpur via Panshta, Bham, Bariyan. He assured that action will be taken soon regarding the necessary routes in Chabbewal constituency.
