
District administration held meeting with various departments and administrators of Punjab Kings for administrative arrangements in view of Tata Indian Premier League cricket match series
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, March 25: Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Mrs Geetika Singh today held a meeting with officers of various departments and officials of Punjab Kings and reviewed various arrangements in view of Tata Indian Premier League cricket match series to be held next month at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Cricket Stadium Mullanpur, New Chandigarh. On this occasion, she asked the district police to make the traffic system and parking arrangement smooth to avoid any kind of traffic jam in the surrounding villages.

On this occasion, she asked the district police to make the traffic system and parking arrangement smooth to avoid any kind of traffic jam in the surrounding villages.
She said that after the first cricket match was organized in the stadium last year, all arrangements should be made in advance based on the difficulties that may arise this time.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner asked Additional Chief Administrator GMADA Amarinder Singh Malhi to get the necessary repairs of the nearby roads and other road obstructions done as soon as possible through his engineering staff. He also asked the Public Health Department to make arrangements for temporary toilets etc. in all the parking lots built outside the stadium so that people do not face any kind of problem.
He asked the Health Department to coordinate with PGI and Homi Bhabha Hospital so that health services can be made available in case of emergency. The Additional Deputy Commissioner asked the representatives of Punjab Kings to obtain the necessary excise permit in advance for drinking alcohol etc. inside the stadium.
He asked the Excise Department officials present in the meeting to issue permits on time and monitor that there is no violation. He asked the Fire Brigade officials to audit the fire extinguishers and arrangements present in the stadium and issue a No Objection Certificate and also asked to make arrangements in advance to deal with any emergency situation on the day of the match.
ADC Geetika Singh asked the PSPCL officials to properly maintain the electricity wires laid on the roads around the stadium so that no one faces any problem due to the falling of any wire. The Additional Deputy Commissioner asked the Punjab Kings management to prepare and submit the accreditations of the officers to be deployed on duty by the district administration on time so that they do not face any problem in performing their duties. SDM Kharar Gurmander Singh, DSP Mullanpur Mohit Aggarwal, Assistant Commissioner (G) Dr. Ankita Kansal and other officers were present in the meeting.
