Garhshankar- The meeting of Olympian Jarnail Singh Memorial Football Tournament Committee Garhshankar was held under the chairmanship of the committee's senior vice president Balraj Singh Toor, chairman Land Mortgage Bank Nawanshahr. In the meeting, keeping in mind the birth anniversary of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji on February 12, it was decided to organize the 22nd state level Olympian Jarnail Singh Football Tournament from February 7 to 11 instead of February 8 to 12.
The organizers said that 8 village level, 8 college level and 8 club level teams will participate in the tournament. In the meeting, the organizers invited only the teams of villages related to Garhshankar block to participate in the tournament and said that only players from one village will be able to play in the rural team. He said that if there are more than 8 teams in the rural category, then the teams will be selected after the qualification round.
He said that Punjab level teams will participate in the club and college category. The organisers said that the rules of Punjab Football Association will be implemented in the tournament from club to rural category matches and no player will be allowed to violate the discipline.
Balraj Singh Toor Chairman Land Mortgage Bank Nawanshahr, Balbir Singh Bains, Yog Raj Gambhir, Roshanjit Singh Panam, Ranjit Singh Khakh, Shalinder Singh Rana, Amandeep Singh Bains, Jaswant Singh Bhattal, Bhupinder Singh Simbli, Sajjan Singh Dhamai, Sanjeev Kumar DPE, Tarlochan Singh Goli and other members were present in the meeting.
