The campaign was launched under the leadership of Development Block Officer Mukesh Thakur. Explaining the seriousness of drug addiction, Mukesh Thakur said that we all should try to ensure that the disease of drug addiction does not occur. He told that if this disease occurs then its treatment is very long and very painful for the affected person and his family. Explaining the importance of the word ‘home’, BDO Haroli said that society is formed from home only. If every household succeeds in trying to be healthy, then our society itself will be healthy. He also explained the importance of knocking at every house and urged the participants to jointly contribute in taking the drug-free Una campaign to every house.
He said that due to lack of information many people are not able to protect their loved ones suffering from drug addiction. Therefore, the district administration has launched a door-to-door campaign to find out how to prevent drug addiction. To disseminate this information to every common man, knocks will be made on every house. He told that the main objective of the Har Ghar Dastak campaign of the district administration is to make more and more people aware at the rural level about the ill effects of drugs and to pay attention to the children, to motivate them towards good works, to understand the children and to become their friend. And it is important to make children aware of the ill effects of drugs and its consequences so that children can stay away from drugs. Program officer Jayendra Heer from Haroli Nasha Mukt Una team said that now the doctors of our block will also play an important role in fighting this disease. He told that now the treatment of this disease will be started soon in our hospital so that people will be able to get treatment for diseases like drug addiction. Therefore he appealed to the people to share this information with as many people as possible. He said that we need to work unitedly in this campaign.
