
SAS Nagar tops in Punjab in ACP achievement for quarter ending December 2024 among all districts of Punjab, says ADC Geetika Singh
SAS Nagar, March 21, 2025: The 75th District Consultative Committee (DCC) meeting for Mohali was held today at the DAC Mohali, chaired by Ms Geetika Singh ADC (G), SAS Nagar. Divulging the details, ADC Ms Singh said that the Annual Credit Plan for the December quarter was surpassed, achieving 88% against the target of 75%.
SAS Nagar, March 21, 2025: The 75th District Consultative Committee (DCC) meeting for Mohali was held today at the DAC Mohali, chaired by Ms Geetika Singh ADC (G), SAS Nagar.
Divulging the details, ADC Ms Singh said that the Annual Credit Plan for the December quarter was surpassed, achieving 88% against the target of 75%.
The achievement of the district is 80% in agriculture sector, 96% in MSME Sector and 65% in Other Priority Sector. The overall achievement of the district is 88%.
The district’s Credit-Deposit (CD) Ratio improved significantly to 117%, against the National Goal of 60%.
While giving applauds to the bankers for their performance and encouraged a stronger focus on Social Security Schemes, the ADC also added that banks are the support system of the economy and a mission mode approach is required from banker fraternity in order to achieve the targets and upliftment of under privileged segment of the society.
District Lead Bank Manager, M K Bhardwaj urged the private sector banks to give special focus on social security schemes launched by Govt of India like Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Beema Yojna and Atal Pension Yojna. He discussed the pendency of PM SVANidhi. Banks were urged to clear all the applications under PM SVANIdhi on regular basis.
Lead District Officer, Reserve Bank of India, Ms Garima Bassi said that all banks should put special efforts to cover all the left out accounts in Digitalization so that our District achieves 100% Digitalization in this quarter. She added that bank branches should ensure strict adherence to Reserve Bank of India guidelines. She also focused on increasing financial literacy and digital awareness among rural people. CFL initiative was also discussed by RBI.
Mr Pankaj Anand (DGM Punjab National Bank) thanked participants and urged continued efforts.
Among other key officers who attended the meeting included Upkar Singh (State Director, RSETIs) and Mr. Amandeep Singh (Director, RSETI, Mohali) along with officials from banks and government departments.
