
No corner of Mohali city will be left out of development: Mayor Jeeti Sidhu.
SAS Nagar, March 20- Mayor of the Municipal Corporation Amarjit Singh Jeeti Sidhu has said that the Municipal Corporation is continuously working for the development of the city and no corner of Mohali city will be left out of development. He said that in the meeting of the Finance and Contract Committee of the Municipal Corporation held today, new estimates of about Rs 50 crore have been passed for various development works in Mohali.

He said that in the meeting of the Finance and Contract Committee of the Municipal Corporation held today, new estimates of about Rs 50 crore have been passed for various development works in Mohali.
While work orders of old approved works of Rs 20 crore have also been given. Apart from this, works worth Rs 9 crore have also been passed against the estimates given by the Public Health Department. This amount will be handed over to the Public Health Department. Senior Deputy Mayor Amrik Singh Somal, Deputy Mayor Kuljit Singh Bedi and Commissioner Parminder Pal Singh Sandhu were specially present in the meeting, apart from Councilors Jasbir Singh Manku and Anuradha Anand.
Mayor Amarjit Singh Jeeti Sidhu said that this time in the Finance and Contracts Committee meeting, estimates have also been passed for the development of almost all the wards and common areas falling between the wards. He said that these especially include the repair of all the roads of Mohali, parks, sewage, street lights, construction of footpaths between the parks in Sector 76 to 80, construction of paths and all kinds of works.
He said that in the work orders given in the same way, development-related works have been passed in various areas of Mohali and these works will now be started soon. He said that the Public Health Department has also passed an estimate of Rs 9 crore for smooth water supply and sewage problem in Mohali. He said that this will change the look of all the roads of Mohali in the coming time and now the work will be done quickly in the summer season and it will be ensured that the contractor will start the work within a month and complete the work within three months. Superintending Engineer of Mohali Municipal Corporation, various Excise SDOs and other officers were present in the meeting.
