Krishi Vigyan Kendra organised awareness camp on fermented organic manure

Hoshiarpur- Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bahowal organised an awareness camp on fermented organic manure at village Mugowal today on 15.09.2018. At the beginning of the camp, Associate Professor Dr. Parminder Singh welcomed the visiting farmers.

He shared information about the activities being undertaken by the centre for farmer welfare. He informed about the use of fermented organic manure during crop cultivation for greater profit from agriculture, which can reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers, improve soil health and reduce environmental pollution.
Scientists of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dr. Ajaib Singh, Assistant Professor (Agricultural Engineering) Dr. Karamveer Singh Garcha, Assistant Professor (Vegetable Science) shared information with the farmers about adopting processing for value addition of agricultural commodities, conservation of natural resources, nutritious home gardens and natural farming.
On this occasion, Manoj Kumar Sachdeva, Sales Manager of Sampoorna Agriventure Private Limited, Fazilka also discussed about fermented organic manure with the farmers. Agricultural literature and summer vegetable kits were also made available to the farmers during the camp.
