
Divisional Commissioner held a meeting with the officials regarding the preparations for the state level function
Nawanshahr- The Punjab Government has decided to celebrate the martyrdom day of Shaheed-e-Azam S. Bhagat Singh as a state level function on March 23 at Khatkar Kalan. On this occasion, Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann will pay tribute to the martyrs and will also lay the foundation stone of Government Medical College in Nawanshahr.

To review the arrangements made for these functions, Divisional Commissioner Rupnagar Gurpreet Kaur Sapra held a meeting with the officials at the District Administrative Complex in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Ankurjit Singh and SSP Dr. Mehtab Singh. During this, she directed that smooth arrangements should be ensured for these functions.
She asked the officials to perform their duties with honesty, service spirit and dedication. She said that any kind of negligence in this regard will not be tolerated. During this, he reviewed security, parking, barricading, pandal, stage, temporary toilets, cleanliness, medical assistance, decoration, sound system, drinking water, fire brigade, uninterrupted electricity supply, refreshments, publicity and other arrangements and gave necessary directions.
On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Rajeev Verma, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Avneet Kaur, SDM Banga Vipan Bhandari, SDM Balachaur Ravinder Bansal, Assistant Commissioner (G) Rohit Jindal and CM Field Officer Jagdeep Singh, besides officers from various departments were present.
