The grand inauguration of the three-day state level Haroli festival took place today at Kangar Ground in Haroli. The festival is being organized from April 27 to April 29, 2025 with various cultural, social and sports activities. The main objective of this event is to spread awareness in the society while preserving the cultural heritage of the Haroli area.
The theme of this year's Haroli Utsav is "Nasha Nivaran", under which a pledge has been taken to spread the message of "Nasha Mukt Una - Nasha Mukt Himachal" to the masses. All cultural presentations, public awareness programmes and activities are centered around this theme, so that awareness can be spread against drug abuse among the youth and they can be inspired to lead a healthy and safe life.
Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said on this occasion, "Haroli Utsav is a medium to connect our culture, our roots and social responsibilities. This festival will take the form of a mass movement against social evil like drug addiction. The state government is determined for the bright future of the youth."
Various competitions, sports, cultural programmes and social awareness campaigns are being organized during Haroli Utsav. The organizers say that there is a plan to celebrate this festival on an even bigger scale in the future.
The grand start of the first day of Haroli Utsav proved that this event is an important step towards the development, social change and cultural prosperity of the region.
