Nawanshahr- Guru Nanak Mission Sewa Society organized a free eye operation camp dedicated to the holy festival of Hola Mohalla today in collaboration with Sahibzade Sewak Jatha Welfare Society at village Sarhala Khurd. At the beginning of the camp, prayers were offered at the feet of Guru. Later, it was inaugurated by eminent social worker and President of Guru Nanak Mission Medical Center and Educational Trust, Mr. Kulwinder Singh Dhahan with his kar kalams.

After inaugurating the camp, Kulwinder Singh Dhahan while addressing a large number of present sangat, needy patients and their relatives said that organizing free eye camps for the needy is perhaps the best service for the good of humanity. Due to which those people get the light of their eyes again. Who are unable to afford the cost of the operation.
He said that by doing such services, the mind gets a supernatural joy and peace. On this occasion, he said that Guru Nanak Mission Sewa Society is doing very commendable work in the field of service. He feels proud to be associated with such organizations. On this occasion, Guru Nanak Mission Hospital Dhahan Kalera expressed his commitment to provide all possible support in getting the patients found eligible for surgery operated during this camp.
He said that along with Guru Nanak Mission Sewa Society, Guru Nanak Mission Dhahan Kalera will also contribute to this work. He also said that in the coming time also, he will provide all kinds of support to the societies in social welfare and service works. On this occasion, the chief servant of the society Surjit Singh welcomed the chief guest Mr. Kulwinder Singh Dhahan and also appreciated the services being provided on a large scale by his institution Guru Nanak Mission Trust in the health and educational sectors in the area.
On this occasion, the head of Sahibzade Sewak Jatha, Gurjinder Singh Khalsa and Sarpanch Jaswinder Singh, expressed special gratitude to the Guru Nanak Mission Sewa Society and Guru Nanak Mission Trust Dhahan for organizing this camp for the sangat of the village area and providing all kinds of facilities to the patients. On this occasion, a blood donation camp was also organized with the support of Bhai Ghanaiya Blood Bank.
Jagjit Singh, General Secretary of the Society, informed that during the camp, the team of Mandeep Eye Hospital Nawanshahr under the leadership of Dr. Mandeep Kaur examined the eyes of about 160 people, out of which about 30 patients were found to be eligible for surgery and glasses will be arranged for 65 people. The operations of the patients will be conducted after March 19.
On this occasion, besides others, Harbans Singh, Manmohan Singh Kanwal, Dilbagh Singh, Harpreet Singh Happy, Darshan Singh Saini, Surinder Singh, Manish Singh, Jasvir Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Harwinder Singh, Satwinder Singh, Simarpal Singh, Inderjit Singh, Amandeep Singh, Manvir Singh, Chamkaur Singh, Gurdeep Singh Anmol Singh, Khushpreet Singh, Anandpreet Singh, Ramanpreet Singh, Baba Niranjan Singh, Daljit Singh, Kulwant Singh, Tarsem Singh and other members were present.
