
Sukhbir Badal's time for clarification extended by 20 days.
Amritsar, June 15 - The Panj Pyares of Takht Sri Patna Sahib have extended the time given to Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal to appear and give clarification by 20 days after a meeting. The meeting was held at Takht Sahib yesterday, in which Jathedar and Head Granthi Giani Baldev Singh, Additional Head Granthi Bhai Dalip Singh and Gurdial Singh, Senior Meet Granthi Bhai Parashuram Singh and Meet Granthi Bhai Amarjit Singh participated.

In a new order issued in this regard, the Panj Pyares said that considering the appeal made by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami for extension of time, Sukhbir Singh Badal has been given another 20 days to appear and give clarification.
They said that action will be taken as per Panthic traditions in case of violation of this order. A copy of this order has also been sent to Sukhbir Singh Badal. He wrote that earlier on May 21, Mr. Badal was given 10 days time but he did not appear, after which another ten days time was given.
With the aim of resolving the conflict between the two Takhts, a delegation of the Shiromani Committee has also met the Management Committee of Takht Sri Patna Sahib recently. The report of which was submitted to the President of the Shiromani Committee, Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami.
It is worth mentioning that the Panj Pyares of Takht Sri Patna Sahib have also declared the acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargajj and the Jathedar of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib Sant Tek Singh as Tanghariyas.
