SAS Nagar, January 15, 2025: Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Viraj S. Tidke today directed the Revenue Officers of the district to resolve all the cases of land division and Khasra Girdawari pending for more than a year within the next two months.
While reviewing the progress made by the Revenue Officers of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar in the presence of Sub Divisional Magistrate and District Revenue Officers, he emphasized the need to launch a special campaign to assist the citizens visiting their offices regarding these matters. He stressed that this campaign should be time-bound, and cases pending for more than a year should be given priority.
ADC Tidke also directed the Revenue Officers to reduce the pendency of mutation cases in the coming days. He cautioned that delay in these mutation cases, especially those related to National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for acquired land, may create complications in future. He said that maintaining a clean revenue record for the affected land owners is essential for their future needs.
While reviewing the recoveries made by the revenue officers, he stressed the importance of increasing and expediting the revenue and other recoveries. The officers were directed to personally follow up the court cases to prevent any adverse remarks from the Hon'ble Courts.
Further, while reviewing the upcoming developments in Zirakpur and Majri Sub Tehsils and modernization of Sub Registrar Office at SAS Nagar Mohali, the Deputy Commissioner encouraged the SDM and concerned revenue officers to maintain dialogue with the authorities to ensure timely clearances.
The meeting was attended by SDM Mohali Damandeep Kaur, SDM Derabassi Amit Gupta, District Revenue Officer Dr. Amandeep Chawla, Tehsildar Birkaran Singh Dhillon, Sub Registrars Navpreet Singh Shergill and Jaspreet Singh besides Naib Tehsildars of the district.
