
The 557th Nanakshahi Year was celebrated with great devotion
SAS Nagar, March 15 - The 557th year of the Nanakshahi Sammat was celebrated with great devotion at the historic Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan in the nearby village of Sohana. In the joy of this day, a Gurmat Samagam was organized all day long after the Bhog of Sri Sehaj Path Sahib Ji in the morning.

In this Gurmat Samagam, Bhai Manjit Singh's International Dhadi Jatha informed the Sangat in detail about the life story of Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj Ji and the Udasis he undertook for the welfare of humanity. Miri Piri Khalsa Jatha Jagadhari Wale made an effort to connect the Sangat with the Guru through their Ras Bhire Kirtan. Shiromani Pracharak Bhai Jarnail Singh Ludhianae Wale explained the Sangat in detail about the Dhur Ki Bani recited by Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj.
Apart from this, Bhai Lakhwinder Singh Amritsar Wale, Bhai Pardeep Singh, Bhai Onkar Singh, Bhai Mahavir Singh, Tere Punjab Kavishri Jatha, Bhai Sandeep Singh Shiromani Pracharak Sri Anandpur Sahib, Bhai Sukhwinder Singh, Mitter Pyare Kun Kirtani Jatha, Bhai Jaswinder Singh's Jathas besides Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan's Hazuri Jathas Bhai Inderjit Singh, Bhai Gurmeet Singh, Bhai Surinder Singh and Bhai Jaswant Singh enthralled the Sangat throughout the day by reciting Har Jas through Katha, Kirtan, Kavishri and Gurmat Ichchaar. All the Jathas were honored with Siropas.
In celebration of the advent of the Nanakshahi year, the Darbar Sahib was specially decorated from outside and the path to the gate. On this occasion, the patients were examined by expert doctors from every department and medicines were given by the Gurdwara Management Committee. Many sweets and Guru ka Langar were served throughout the day.
