SAS Nagar, March 15- Mohali Municipal Corporation Mayor Amarjit Singh Jeeti Sidhu today visited RMC point of Ohari Majra along with newly appointed Municipal Corporation Commissioner Parminder Pal Singh. On this occasion, Ohari Majra Councilor Jagdeep Singh Jagga and Phase 5 Councilor Baljit Kaur were specially present in Mohali.
On this occasion, Mayor Amarjit Singh Jeeti Sidhu said that no problem will be allowed to the residents of Ohari in terms of cleanliness or garbage. He said that due to the closure of dumping grounds after the instructions of the High Court, garbage is being thrown at RMC points and the garbage is being processed there. He admonished the cleaning contractors to immediately remove the garbage from the RMC points and make better arrangements for cleanliness.
On this occasion, Mr. Chandramukhi, who accompanied him, sprayed the garbage lying here under the Sidhu Foundation. Mayor Jeeti Sidhu said that this spray is being trialed. After this spraying, flies or mosquitoes do not come on the garbage and the garbage automatically decomposes. He said that plastic, glass or soil are not decomposed by this, but household kitchen garbage is easily decomposed and converted into fertilizer after a few sprays, due to which the amount of garbage is also reduced significantly and the fertilizer can be used in various parks.
On this occasion, the Mayor also specially visited Ohari Majra and the green belt of Phase 5 (where its mandi is located) and instructed the officials to improve the cleanliness of this place. He said that after the mandi was set up, a contract has been given by the Mandi Board to clean it here, but this contractor does not work properly, a complaint about which will be made in writing by the Mandi Board.
On this occasion, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Parminder Pal Singh said that he is still getting to know about the main problems of Mohali and solutions will be found for them in a systematic manner.
