
8 NSS Volunteers from Punjab will participate as Special Guests in Republic Day Parade (New Delhi).
Chandigarh- Youth Services Department is always on the lookout to organize youth welfare activities in the State of Punjab. For this purpose, Youth Services Department has always provided a platform to the youth to participate in State and National level activities to channelize the energy of students and non-students and to fulfill their physical, intellectual, moral, emotional, cultural, spiritual and material needs.

As per the guidelines of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, 8 NSS Volunteers (4 Boys + 4 Girls) from the State of Punjab will participate as Special Guests in the Republic Day Parade to be held at Red Fort, Delhi. These volunteers are from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab University, Chandigarh, Maharaja Ranjit Singh University, Bathinda, Punjabi University, Patiala, Rayat Bahra University, Mohali, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar NIT Jalandhar who have done commendable work in Swachhata Hi Seva and Seva To Sikho programmes. Volunteers will participate as special guests in the Republic Day celebrations.
Accordingly, State NSS Cell Punjab has selected the group of NSS volunteers selected from Punjab State in connection with this program on 22-01-2025 at Department of Youth Services, (HQ) Sector-42A, Chandigarh. Mr. Kulwinder Singh, Deputy Director, Youth Services, Punjab congratulated the volunteers of Punjab State for representing Punjab for this program.
