SAS Nagar, March 12 - Constituency MLA Kulwant Singh has said that the entire Punjab is a breeding ground for national and international level players and at present there is a need to take the youth out of the swamp of drugs and direct them towards the sports field. Speaking on the occasion of releasing the poster of the sports festival of village Bairopur Bhago Majra, he said that the Aam Aadmi Party government led by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has created a conducive environment for players and organizers of sports across Punjab, due to which big tournaments are being organized at various places.
He said that the 7th Baliwal Outing (Kuchi) Mahakumbh is being organized by the Youth Services Club Bairpur (Registered) at village Bairpur-Bhago Majra on March 22, while the first Kuti Competition-Shaheed Bhagat Singh Kesari is being organized on March 23, 2025, the poster of which has been released today. He assured the organizers of this sports festival that whatever responsibility is assigned to them in organizing the sports festival, it will be fulfilled. On this occasion, Sarpanch Gurjant Singh Bhago Majra said that cash prizes worth Rs. 8 lakh will be distributed during the sports festival.
