At this time, the leader of the Old Pension Restoration Struggle Committee, Mr. Mann said that if the government does not pass a resolution against the restoration of old pension and UPS during the assembly session, then the employees of Punjab will create history like Delhi during the 2027 elections. Therefore, the Punjab government should issue a notification of old pension on the lines of the Himachal government so that about two and a half lakh employees of Punjab can get relief from this pain.
He said that the SOP issued by the Central Government yesterday for the Unified Pension Scheme is very fatal because according to the said scheme, the government wants to give pension to the employees by usurping all the money of the employees. All the employees are burning the copies of the notification and registering their protest against the scheme which usurps the hard earned money of the employees in the name of pension. In protest against this scheme, all the employees of Punjab will demand the implementation of the old pension scheme by submitting a memorandum to the MLAs and ministers of all the constituencies of Punjab before the assembly session begins.
