Nawanshahr- Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh got a big shock when his mother Daljit Kaur (92) passed away in Chandigarh today. Due to old age and weakness, she breathed her last in Chandigarh. Her last rites were performed today in her native village Bhaora (Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district).
During this, a large number of political, social and other personalities present besides family members, relatives, local residents paid their last respects to her.
On this occasion, Punjab Container and Warehousing Corporation Chairman and MLA Banga Dr. Sukhwinder Kumar Sukhi, MLA Nawanshahr Dr. Nachhattar Pal, SSP Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Dr. Mehtab Singh, former MLA Guriqbal Kaur Babli, former MLA Nawanshahr Angad Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Rajiv Verma, SDM Balachaur Ravinder Kumar Bansal, Punjab State Technical Education Board Vice Chairman Lalit Mohan Pathak (Ballu), Punjab Water Resources Management and Development Corporation Vice Chairman Kuljit Singh Sarhal, Nagar Sudhar Trust Nawanshahr Chairman Satnam Singh Jalwaha, Nagar Sudhar Trust Nawanshahr Trustee Harjot Kaur Lohtia and other personalities were present.
