Punjabi Department Organizes ‘Preet Pende’ Book Dialogue Ceremony

Mahilpur, March 8 – The Post Graduate Punjabi Department of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College Mahilpur here organized a dialogue ceremony on the book ‘Preet Pende’ written by Prof. Apinder Singh Mahilpuri on Gurmat Chintan. Akali leader Jatinder Singh Lali Bajwa, Prof. Dr. Amandeep Hira, former DGP (CRPF) Davinder Singh Rana attended as the chief guests on this occasion while the ceremony was presided over by Mr. Deepak Bali.

At the beginning of the ceremony, students of the music department sang Shabad. College Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh shared welcome words and inspired the students to connect with the book culture. Presenting a pamphlet on the book ‘Preet Pende’ on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Bhupinder Kaur Kavita presented her views on the role of this book in the context of Gurmat Chintan. He discussed the subject and artistic aspect of the book and described this book as useful for readers of all levels.
Prof. Dr. Amandeep Hira emphasized on the need for book culture and motivated the students to read such works that connect them with Sikh religion and heritage. Children's literature writer Baljinder Mann recalled the days associated with the inception of the Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle in the college and shared information about the role played by Prof. Apinder Singh in the study circle.
Chief guest Jatinder Singh Lali Bajwa congratulated the organizers for organizing such a function and inspired the students present to connect with Gurmat ideology through such books. In his presiding speech at the function, Deepak Bali recalled the student life associated with the college and described the book 'Preet Pende' as a work that fills the students with morality and good thoughts.
Author Prof. Apinder Singh described the activities of the Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle as a great source of inspiration behind his studies and the creation of this book. The students who read the book answered the questions and gave inspiration to live life according to Gurmat Ashe. The vote of thanks was shared by Amitoj Singh Mahilpuri. The proceedings of the forum were conducted by Dr. JB Sekhon, Head of the Punjabi Department.
