Babbar Khalsa International terrorist with links to ISI arrested

Lucknow, March 6 - An active terrorist of Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) with alleged links to Pakistan's ISI was arrested from Kaushambi district in a joint operation by Uttar Pradesh STF and Punjab Police in the early hours of Thursday. An official said that the suspected terrorist, Lazar Masih, who lives in Kurlan village of Amritsar in Punjab, was arrested at around 3.20 am.

Lucknow, March 6 - An active terrorist of Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) with alleged links to Pakistan's ISI was arrested from Kaushambi district in a joint operation by Uttar Pradesh STF and Punjab Police in the early hours of Thursday. An official said that the suspected terrorist, Lazar Masih, who lives in Kurlan village of Amritsar in Punjab, was arrested at around 3.20 am.
Additional Director General of Police (UP Special Task Force, Law and Order) Amitabh Yash said that the operation was carried out in Kokhraj police station area of ??Kaushambi. Yash said, "As per the information, the arrested terrorist Swaran Singh alias Jeevan works for the army. He is the head of the Germany-based module of Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and is in direct contact with Pakistan-based ISI operatives.’’
He further said that the UP STF succeeded in recovering some explosive materials and illegal weapons from the terrorist. The official said that three active hand grenades, two active detonators, one foreign pistol and 13 foreign cartridges have been recovered. Apart from this, a white colored explosive powder, an Aadhaar card with an address of Ghaziabad, a mobile phone without a SIM card have also been recovered from his possession. The ADG said that this terrorist had escaped from judicial custody in Punjab on September 24, 2024.
