
Maidi Mela: No trouble will be allowed to devotees/Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal
Una- Senior journalist Daljit Ajanoha had a special conversation with Una Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal and others regarding the arrangements of Maidi Mela, in which he said that no inconvenience will be allowed to the devotees coming to Maidi Mela from all over the state. Special arrangements are being made by the civil administration for the convenience of the devotees.

Special arrangements are being made by the civil administration for the convenience of the devotees.
He said that Dera Baba Badbhaag Singh Holi Mela has started today in village Maidi of Tehsil Amb of Una district, which will continue till March 17. A large number of devotees from Punjab come to this fair, in view of which the police and civil administration are making proper arrangements.
The Deputy Commissioner said that since a large number of devotees come to the fair, special attention is being paid to traffic management. He directed the police department to keep its teams active 24 hours a day to maintain smooth traffic system on all the routes coming towards Una, so that the devotees do not face any kind of trouble.
He appealed to the devotees not to travel in tractor-trolley, truck, canter and other heavy vehicles, as such vehicles can cause accidents. He said that permission will be taken from the concerned SDM for setting up langar and using loudspeakers. Langar organisers were instructed to keep the langar site away from the main road, so that there is no hindrance to traffic.
He also appealed not to use single-use plastic for langar. He said that necessary guidelines have been issued to the Municipal Corporation, Public Health Department, Pollution Control Department, Animal Husbandry Department, Public Works Department, Electricity Corporation and Road Department. Along with this, the district police has also been instructed to prepare a special route plan for the devotees, so that the devotees do not have to face any kind of traffic related problems.
