Patiala, March 3- Under the leadership of Civil Surgeon Patiala Dr. Jagpal Inder Singh, 'Special Vaccination Week' was celebrated in all the government health institutions under the district. On this occasion, 86 vaccination sessions were organized and during this period 815 children were vaccinated as per the government vaccination program.
These camps proved to be very beneficial for those pregnant women and children who could not get vaccinated due to some reason. They were covered during this special week. Giving information on this occasion, Civil Surgeon Patiala Dr. Jagpal Inder Singh said that vaccines given to children in the government vaccination list are very important for the health of children and protection from diseases.
Parents of children should take initiative and get their children vaccinated. ASHA workers conducted door-to-door surveys and provided awareness for vaccination of pregnant mothers and children. All paramedical staff went to the village level and set up camps, provided health facilities and vaccinated children.
