
National Lok Adalat to be held on 8th in Patiala, Rajpura, Samana and Nabha
Patiala, March 3 - As per the guidelines of National Legal Services Authority and Punjab State Legal Services Authority, Mohali and under the leadership of District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Patiala Rupinderjit Chahal, National Lok Adalat is being held in Patiala on 8th March. For this purpose, benches of judicial courts will be constituted in Rajpura, Samana and Nabha including Patiala.
Patiala, March 3 - As per the guidelines of National Legal Services Authority and Punjab State Legal Services Authority, Mohali and under the leadership of District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Patiala Rupinderjit Chahal, National Lok Adalat is being held in Patiala on 8th March. For this purpose, benches of judicial courts will be constituted in Rajpura, Samana and Nabha including Patiala. In the meeting, cheque bounce cases, money recovery cases, labour and employment dispute cases, payment of electricity, water bills and other bills (except non-compoundable), maintenance cases, other criminal compoundable cases and other civil disputes and cases pending in courts and tribunals such as criminal compoundable offences, cheque bounce cases, money recovery cases, MACT cases, labour and employment dispute cases, payment of electricity, water bills and other bills (except non-compoundable), matrimonial disputes (except divorce), land acquisition cases (pending in civil courts/tribunals), salary and allowances and retirement benefits, revenue cases etc. will be discussed.
Dipt Goyal, CJM/Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Patiala said that the primary objective of Lok Adalats is to resolve disputes through compromises. Its objective is to save time and money for the concerned parties and reduce personal animosity between them. Deepti Goyal further said that when a case is settled in Lok Adalat, the award becomes final and no appeal lies against it.
