ADC cancels license of Firm M Study Abroad Consultants

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, May 16, 2025: In exercise of powers conferred under Section 6 (1) (e) of the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act-2012, Additional District Magistrate Sonam Chaudhary has cancelled the license of Firm M Study Abroad Consultants.

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, May 16, 2025: In exercise of powers conferred under Section 6 (1) (e) of the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act-2012, Additional District Magistrate Sonam Chaudhary has cancelled the license of Firm M Study Abroad Consultants.
Giving information, Additional District Magistrate Sonam Chaudhary said that Firm M Study Abroad Consultants is a SCO. No. 133, 2nd Floor, Phase-7, Mohali, District Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, owner Mr. Jaswinder Singh (Proprietor) son of Late Mr. Ranjit Singh resident of House No. 13, Tara Singh Avenue, Raja Garden Extension, Jalandhar City, Jalandhar Hall resident of House No. 965, Sector-78, Mohali, District Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, was issued a license No. 358/IC dated 15.11.2019 for consultancy work, which has expired on 14.11.2024.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner informed that there is no mention in the Act/Rules/Amendments of the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act-2012 regarding the change of office address regarding the action to be taken in such cases. Therefore, a letter was issued from Senior Superintendent of Police, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar for an investigation report regarding the change of office address.
He said that the Senior Superintendent of Police, SAS Nagar has conducted a point-by-point investigation through a letter from the local police, the point-by-point details of which were sent, according to which the applicant has shifted the said office address to a new address in January/2022, but the applicant has violated the Punjab Travel Regulation Act by changing the office address even before obtaining permission to change the office address, due to which appropriate action was recommended.
Keeping in mind the said report, clarification along with relevant documents regarding the residential address of the licensee was sought, which has been received undelivered by registered letter. Tehsildar Mohali has also served this letter to the licensee. But no response/clarification has been received from the licensee.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner informed that based on the above mentioned situation regarding the firm, the licensee has committed a violation under the provisions of Section 6(1)(e) of the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act-2012 due to non-sending of monthly reports and advertisements as per the Act/Rules and Advisory, closure of the office, non-compliance of the clauses of the license, non-response/clarification of the notice by the company/firm and the licensee.
Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under the provisions of Section 6(1)(e) of the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act-2012, the license number No. 358/IC dated 15.11.2019 for consultancy work to the firm M.A. Study Abroad Consultants has been revoked/cancelled with immediate effect.
Apart from this, as per the Act/Rules, if in future any complaint etc. is received against the said company/firm/partnership or its licensees/directors/partners of the firm, then the said company/director/partner/licensee will be responsible in every respect for it and will also be responsible for compensating for it.
